About me
Dr. Nereida Perdigón is the founder and owner of EmpowerU Now Consulting, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive support in the areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), mental health, and personal coaching. With over 16 years of experience in higher education as a Spanish instructor, English Language Learning (ELL) instructor, Mentor, Bilingual Academic Advisor, and Family Resilience Coordinator, she holds a Doctorate in Education from Colorado State University. Nereida specializes in empowering underrepresented communities, including Latina women, first-generation students, and individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Her expertise extends to conducting workshops on topics such as equity, inclusion, female empowerment, and mental health. She is also certified as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coach, with additional training in mental health support and intervention. Through her work, Nereida is passionate about breaking down barriers, promoting mental wellness, and creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she is bilingual in Spanish and English, which allows her to connect with a broad range of audiences and serve communities in a culturally responsive way.
