About me
Mark started Open Door in 2009 to help organizations radically define their culture. He also provides non-conventional people strategies tailored to radically reinforce organizations’ cultures, once defined. His clients are businesses and Not-For-Profits ranging in size from startups to a few thousand team members, mostly in the U.S..
Mark learned how to enlist, envision, and engage passionate people working for Quality Guru and Best-Selling Author Philip Crosby. At that time, Philip Crosby Associates employed 300 people around the world and had 40% of Fortune 500 companies as clients…as well as a whole lot of mid-sized ones. This experience defined his “Professional DNA.” It was at PCA that he saw how employee engagement, culture change, and education could improve quality, morale, and the bottom line for clients all over the world. And it was there he got his first taste of consulting, developing people strategies that reinforced the culture of quality that PCA helped clients create.
After that, Mark held top HR executive positions at the National Center for Atmospheric Research and Poudre Valley Health System, before serving as the COO of an HR consulting company with full P&L and business development responsibilities.
Mark has created programs that have been featured in Entrepreneur, Training, Working Mother, and CBS This Morning. He has spoken at state and national conferences and testified before state and federal Congressional committees. His work was featured in the November 2012 edition of HR Magazine in their cover article on “Business Transformations.” He is currently working on a book that covers everything on the back of his business card in more detail. The working title is, “The Inside Job: A Tale of Two Companies.”
