About me
Lisa Cheney-Philp is a Death Doula, Grief Practitioner, Creative Facilitator, Artist, River Guide, and the Founder of Women of the Water where she creatively and intuitively supports women, families, and groups moving through experiences of death, dying, grief and loss with companionship, guidance and coaching.
Her work is rooted in the emerging field of restorative practices, which centers on repairing harm and building community to positively impact community health and well-being, and draws upon her rich background in community development, health planning, nonprofit administration, program development and coalition building as well as her personal experiences with grief, loss, healing, and meaning-making. Lisa has been embedded in Colorado Front Range communities for over 20 years and has been watering her roots here in Fort Collins since 2021.
