Dexter Beasley serves as the Executive Director of FoCo Cafe, a nonprofit restaurant in Fort Collins, Colorado that operates on a pay-what-you-can model. With a background in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, Dexter brings a unique perspective to community service and social equity.
Dexter's approach to leadership emphasizes leveraging individual strengths, open communication, and creative problem-solving. They believe in the power of food to connect people from diverse backgrounds and build understanding. With a focus on dignity, community building, and sustainability, Dexter works to address food insecurity while promoting social equity in Fort Collins.
Identifying as nonbinary and having siblings who are transgender, Dexter is deeply committed to fostering acceptance and inclusion. Their passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion is reflected in FoCo Cafe's mission to create a welcoming space for all community members, regardless of their ability to pay.
